This notice explains how your personal information is collected and handled when you take part in a supplier focus group for the Central Queensland supplier and industry mapping project. The project is delivered for the Net Zero Economy Authority (NZEA), an Australian Government agency, by a consortium led by Acclimate Partners with Central Queensland University (CQU) and Hewitt & Co. NZEA and the consortium handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This notice is provided to make you aware of the matters set out in Australian Privacy Principle 5 about the collection of your personal information.
Who is collecting your personal information
Your personal information is collected by Acclimate Partners (Inclusive Growth Pty Ltd, ACN 640 623 687) together with our partners Hewitt & Co and CQUniversity, as contracted service providers acting for NZEA. NZEA's Privacy Policy applies to the handling of personal information by its contracted service providers on its behalf.
What personal information we collect
At the session we may collect:
- your name and role
- your business name and contact details
- information about your business, including its capability, equipment, certifications, locations and project experience
- the views and experiences you share in discussion, which may include your views about other businesses or organisations.
With your separate consent, we may also collect:
- a quote attributed to you
- photographs taken during the session that include you
- your agreement to be contacted after the session about building a supplier profile.
Why we collect it
We collect this information to:
- understand the barriers local suppliers face in the region's supply chains
- identify suppliers for the project's supplier map and platform
- build supplier capability profiles
- inform NZEA on policy and program design.
The information contributes to the project's deliverables for NZEA. Some of what we collect may also inform related research and later stages of the project, and we apply the Australian Privacy Principles to that handling.
Providing your information is voluntary
Taking part is voluntary and you can decline without any consequence to your existing relationships. You can take part without providing all of the information above, although if you choose not to provide certain information we may not be able to attribute your contribution or contact you about onboarding. We ask for your consent separately for note-taking, for any quote attributed to you, for photographs, and for follow-up contact. If you do not consent to note-taking, we continue without recording your name. If you do not consent to photographs, images are framed so that you are not identifiable. By default, contributions are not attributed to you.
How we use and disclose your information
We use your information for the purposes set out above. We may disclose it to:
- NZEA, as the Australian Government agency for which the project is delivered
- the consortium partners (Acclimate Partners, CQU and Hewitt & Co) delivering the project.
The supplier map, platform and project reports may be published. Information that identifies you is included only with your consent, and an attributed quote is used only where you have agreed to it.
